Things to do in Scottsbluff

Scottsbluff and its neighbor Gering are the business center of the Nebraska Panhandle, a region of irrigated farmland along the North Platte River where sugar beets, dry beans, corn and cattle anchor the economy. Regional West Medical Center serves patients from a wide area of western Nebraska, eastern Wyoming and northern Colorado, and agriculture processors, equipment dealers and lenders all work out of the area. The valley’s history is written in the landscape: the Oregon, California and Mormon trails passed here, guided by landmarks like Chimney Rock and Scotts Bluff.
