Getting started
What is Littlebird?
Littlebird is an on-demand private charter service that flies Cirrus aircraft directly between regional airports, with instant online pricing and booking. It is a DBA of Jetvia, a FAR Part 135 operator.
Is Littlebird an airline?
No. Littlebird is on-demand private charter: you book the whole airplane for your trip, on your schedule, rather than a seat on a scheduled flight. Flights are operated under FAA Part 135 charter certificates.
Who owns Littlebird?
Littlebird is a DBA (doing business as) of Jetvia, a FAR Part 135 charter operator flying since 1985.
Do I pay per seat?
No. You pay one price for the whole airplane and can bring up to 5 passengers, so the more people share the flight, the less each person pays.
How do I book a private flight with Littlebird?
Search your departure and arrival airports, date and number of passengers on littlebird.aero, choose an aircraft from the live prices, add your passengers and pay online.
Do I need an account to see prices?
You can search without an account. You'll need a free account to book, and we may ask you to create one to see prices.
How long is a quote valid?
A quote holds for 24 hours. Prices can change before checkout if aircraft availability changes, and we always show you the new price before you pay.
Can I book a round trip?
Yes. Choose round trip and pick your return date and time. If you wait at your destination, the aircraft may stay with you (overnight charges can apply) or fly home and come back for you, whichever the price shows.
Are the times local?
Yes. Departure times are always local to the airport you're leaving from.
When is my flight confirmed?
Instant-book trips (24 hours to 90 days out) are confirmed when payment succeeds at checkout. Requests are confirmed by our team, and we email you as soon as they are.
Am I charged for a request before it's confirmed?
No. Your card is saved at checkout, with no charge or hold, and charged only when we confirm the trip. If we can't, nothing is charged.
How far in advance can I book?
Online bookings and requests are accepted from 2 hours up to 365 days before departure.
Can I book a same-day flight?
Online requests need at least 2 hours notice. For shorter notice, contact us directly and we'll check what's available.

Pricing and saving money
How much does a Littlebird flight cost?
It depends on the route, date, time and aircraft. Search any two airports in our service area to see live, all-in prices in seconds; the home page also shows example trips and prices.
Are taxes and fees included in the price?
Yes. The price you see includes the flight, any repositioning, applicable fees and federal taxes, shown line by line before you pay.
What is repositioning?
Repositioning is flying the aircraft, without passengers, to where your trip starts or back to its base afterward. When it's needed it's included in your quote; flying between our home bases usually avoids it.
Is there a fee for paying by credit card?
Credit cards add a 3% fee, shown before you're charged. Debit and prepaid cards, and payments from your deposit balance, have no card fee.
Why did the price change?
Prices are live: they depend on where our aircraft are, the calendar and the fees for those dates. If the price changes before checkout, we show you the new price before you pay.
How can I make my private flight cheaper?
Fly between our home bases within a service area, be flexible on your departure time, consider a nearby airport we suggest, and bring more passengers to share the whole-airplane price.
What are home bases?
Home bases are the airports where our aircraft are based, currently Austin (KAUS), Dallas (KDAL), Fort Lauderdale (KFXE), Houston (KHOU) and Tampa (KTPA). They're marked on the map on our home page. Trips between them within a service area need little or no repositioning, so they cost less.
Do you offer discounts?
We sometimes offer coupon codes, entered at checkout, and promotional account credit, applied automatically. The biggest savings come from flying between home bases and filling the seats.
