Safety: the parachute on every aircraft
Every Littlebird aircraft, piston or jet, carries the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS), which lowers the entire aircraft to the ground in an emergency. It has been credited with saving hundreds of lives.
A parachute for the whole airplane
Every aircraft we fly carries the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS). In a serious emergency, one pull of a handle in the cabin ceiling deploys a large parachute that lowers the entire aircraft, and everyone inside, gently to the ground. It has been credited with saving hundreds of lives.
Built-in protection
- Electronic stability and the Level button: envelope protection guards against unsafe attitudes, and a single blue button returns the aircraft to straight-and-level flight.
- Modern glass cockpit: Cirrus Perspective avionics by Garmin, with synthetic vision, autopilot, live weather and traffic.
- Engineered to protect: composite airframes designed around the people inside, with energy-absorbing seats.
Commercial standards
Littlebird flights are FAA Part 135 charter flights, held to commercial standards for pilots, maintenance and operations. The pilot-in-command always has the final say on whether a flight is safe to operate.
