Things to do in Eureka

Eureka is the largest city on California’s North Coast and the seat of Humboldt County, set on the shore of Humboldt Bay. Its timber and shipping fortunes built some of the finest Victorian architecture in the state, including the ornate Carson Mansion, and Old Town’s restored buildings now hold galleries, restaurants and shops. Health care, government, fishing and tourism support the local economy, along with Cal Poly Humboldt in nearby Arcata.
