Things to do in Yakima

Yakima is the commercial center of the Yakima Valley, one of the most productive agricultural regions in the United States. The valley grows the majority of the nation’s hops, which makes it essential to the craft beer industry, along with apples, cherries, pears and wine grapes, and Washington’s first designated wine appellation was established here. Food processing, agricultural equipment, healthcare and the nearby Yakima Training Center add to the economy, and the Yakama Nation’s reservation spans much of the land to the south.
