Things to do in Exuma

Exuma is a district of more than 300 islands and cays running south from near Nassau, and Great Exuma is its largest island and home to George Town, the main settlement. George Town faces Elizabeth Harbour, a deep, sheltered anchorage protected by Stocking Island, and in winter it fills with cruising sailboats whose crews gather on the beach. The island’s resorts, villas and growing second-home communities sit along shorelines of white sand and shallow turquoise flats, and the waters around Exuma are prized by boaters, divers and bonefish anglers alike.
