Staniel Cay is a small island in the heart of the Exuma Cays, with a few hundred residents, a handful of shops and the Staniel Cay Yacht Club, which has welcomed boaters since the 1950s. It is the hub for some of the most photographed sights in the Bahamas: the swimming pigs of Big Major Cay, the coral-lit chamber of Thunderball Grotto and the protected waters of the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park.
