Things to do in Los Alamos

Los Alamos was a secret city during World War II, the site where the Manhattan Project designed the first atomic bombs, and it remains defined by science. Los Alamos National Laboratory, one of the largest science and engineering institutions in the world, dominates the local economy, and the town spread across the finger-like mesas of the Pajarito Plateau has one of the most highly educated populations in the country.
