Private charter to & from Grand Marais

Grand Marais is a small harbor town on the North Shore of Lake Superior, known for its artists, craftspeople and access to some of Minnesota’s wildest country. The Grand Marais Art Colony, founded in the 1940s, and North House Folk School, which teaches traditional northern crafts like boatbuilding and woodworking, give the town an unusual creative energy. Tourism is the main business, along with outfitters, lodging, real estate and a growing number of second homes and remote workers.

Grand Marais is about two hours from Duluth and five from the Twin Cities by car, much of it on two-lane Highway 61 along the lake. Grand Marais Cook County Airport sits just inland from town, so flying private turns a long drive into a short trip, ideal for a long weekend or a trip to a cabin up the Gunflint Trail. Visitors come for Artist’s Point and the harbor, paddling in the Boundary Waters, hiking the Superior Hiking Trail, waterfalls in Judge C.R. Magney and Cascade River state parks and skiing at Lutsen Mountains.
