Things to do in Chapel Hill

Chapel Hill is home to the University of North Carolina, which welcomed its first students in 1795 and is often described as the oldest public university in the country. Life in town revolves around the campus, from historic quads and the Old Well to UNC Health’s medical center and the research labs that help power the Research Triangle. Duke University and downtown Durham are about ten miles east, and Research Triangle Park is a short drive away, so visiting faculty, recruiters, physicians and biotech executives come through constantly.
