Things to do in Harbor Springs

Harbor Springs is a small, polished resort town on the north shore of Little Traverse Bay, where some of the Midwest’s most established families have summered for generations in cottages at Wequetonsing and Harbor Point. Its deep natural harbor fills with sailboats in summer, and its shops, galleries and restaurants serve a seasonal population many times the size of the year-round town. Across the bay, Petoskey offers a larger historic downtown, the Gaslight District, and the bay’s beaches are known for fossilized Petoskey stones.

Petoskey’s historic downtown is filled with independent shops, galleries, bookstores and restaurants, a short walk from the bay and Bayfront Park.

  3. 03

    Nub’s Nob

This family-friendly ski area outside Harbor Springs is known for well-groomed runs, reliable lake-effect snow and a loyal following of northern Michigan skiers.
