Cookeville is the hub of Tennessee’s Upper Cumberland region, set on the western edge of the Cumberland Plateau along Interstate 40 between Nashville and Knoxville. Tennessee Technological University, known for its engineering programs, is a major presence, and Cookeville Regional Medical Center, manufacturing plants and regional retail round out the economy.
