Private charter to & from Hana

Hana is a small, traditional community on Maui’s rugged eastern tip, surrounded by rain forest, waterfalls, pastures and black-sand beaches. It is one of the most Hawaiian places in the islands, with a strong sense of community, a long ranching history and very little development. Tourism supports a handful of inns, vacation rentals and a resort, along with fruit stands, small farms and ranching, but the town’s isolation has kept it quiet.

That isolation comes from the famous Road to Hana, a narrow highway with hundreds of hairpin curves and dozens of one-lane bridges that can take three hours or more to drive from Kahului. Many visitors enjoy the drive once; few want to do it both ways in a day. Flying private into Hana Airport, a few miles from town, turns the trip into a short flight and gives you time to explore unhurried. Visitors swim at Hamoa Beach, walk the black sand at Waianapanapa, hike the bamboo forest to Waimoku Falls in the Kipahulu District of Haleakala National Park and simply slow down.
