Private charter to & from Door County

Door County is the thumb of land that juts into Lake Michigan between Green Bay and the open lake, and its shoreline of bluffs, beaches, lighthouses and harbor villages has made it the Midwest’s favorite summer retreat. Fish Creek, Ephraim, Sister Bay, Egg Harbor and Baileys Harbor fill each summer with families who have returned for generations, and the peninsula supports cherry and apple orchards, wineries, art galleries and summer theater. Sturgeon Bay, the county seat, has a long shipbuilding tradition that continues today.

The peninsula is a long way from almost everywhere: about four hours from Milwaukee and five or more from Chicago, much of it on two-lane roads that crawl on summer Fridays. Door County Cherryland Airport in Sturgeon Bay puts you at the base of the peninsula, a short drive from the villages along both shores. A private flight turns a weekend at the family cottage into a real weekend. Visitors come for the state parks, sailing and kayaking, traditional fish boils, cherry pie, the ferry to Washington Island and dark skies far from city lights.
