Private charter to & from St. Simons Island

St. Simons is the largest of Georgia’s Golden Isles, a barrier island of live oaks, salt marsh and beaches midway between Savannah and Jacksonville. Its village has a fishing pier, a historic lighthouse and a walkable cluster of restaurants and shops, while neighboring Sea Island is home to the Cloister and the Lodge, one of the most celebrated resorts in the South and host of the PGA Tour’s RSM Classic each fall. Tourism, golf and second homes drive the local economy, along with the Port of Brunswick on the mainland, a major gateway for imported vehicles.

The island is a five-hour drive from Atlanta, and the last stretch along the coast can be slow on holiday weekends. Flying private lands you at McKinnon St. Simons Island Airport, which sits on the island itself, a short drive from the village and the Sea Island causeway, with Brunswick Golden Isles Airport on the mainland as an alternative. That makes a three-day golf trip, a family beach week or a wedding weekend far easier to organize. Beyond the fairways, there is kayaking in the marsh, history at Fort Frederica and day trips to Jekyll Island and Little St. Simons.
