Findlay is a small city in northwest Ohio with an outsized corporate presence. Marathon Petroleum, one of the largest refining companies in the United States, is headquartered here, and Cooper Tire, now part of Goodyear, has deep roots in the city. Manufacturing, logistics and distribution along Interstate 75 round out the economy, and the University of Findlay is known for its equine, pharmacy and environmental programs. The downtown, with its restored storefronts and flags flying along Main Street, gives the city its nickname, Flag City USA.

Findlay sits between Toledo and Dayton, about 45 minutes from Toledo’s airport and well over an hour from Columbus, so business travelers often lose a good part of a day getting here commercially. Findlay Airport lies just outside downtown, and flying private makes it practical to come in for meetings at corporate offices or plants and fly out the same afternoon. Visitors can explore the Mazza Museum’s collection of children’s book illustrations, catch a show at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts and stop at Dietsch Brothers for homemade chocolates and ice cream, and Cedar Point and Lake Erie are about an hour away.
