Private charter to & from Marfa

Marfa is a small ranching town on the high plains of far West Texas that became an international art destination after Donald Judd arrived in the 1970s and went on to create the Chinati Foundation. Today it draws artists, collectors, filmmakers, architects and designers, and its galleries, restaurants and hotels carry a reputation far larger than the town itself. Business travel tends to revolve around the arts, hospitality, ranching, real estate and film and photo production in the dramatic surrounding landscape.

Marfa is famously remote. It is a long drive from El Paso or Midland and the better part of a day from Austin, Dallas or Houston, which is part of its appeal and also its biggest obstacle. Once there, you can spend a day with Judd’s concrete and aluminum works, drive up to Fort Davis for a star party at McDonald Observatory, look for the Marfa Lights after dark and continue south toward Big Bend National Park, Big Bend Ranch State Park and the Rio Grande.
